The Koch Brothers are threatening to run ads against any Michigan Republicans who support the current financial deal moving in Michigan to help Detroit get through the bankruptcy. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I came out of lurking and posted a comment on their article; it's below the fold. Actually, I haven't posted a diary here in a very long time, even though I comment a lot; so I've come out of DKos diary lurking also.
Sure, let's let a couple of billionaire oligarchs from Kansas make decisions for us about how to deal with the largest and most important city in our state so they can continue to promote an agenda that has no actual benefit to society as a whole beyond their own pocketbooks and perpetuating their flawed ideology.
They want to control the politicians in every state by financially browbeating them into submission. Their agenda is anti-science and opposed to the reality of humans as social organisms that ultimately depend upon one another for almost everything that is important and useful; it is a caricature of society akin to the Bizarro World from the old Superman comics with an end game that would resemble Somalia. I do hope our state politicians can stand up to the bullying from their money. Make your own decisions, don't let out-of-state billionaires do your thinking for you.
